With more than 500 exhibitors at the 2010 Congress, it’s impossible to visit them all, so plan your visit! AORN offers three great ways to help you get your information in advance, plan your route through the Exhibit Hall, and keep in touch after the event.
MyAORNCongress
New this year, MyAORNCongress provides an up-to-date schedule, comprehensive exhibit guide, map generator, and more! Use the system to plan your route from session to session and through the exhibit hall, or as a tool for building a business case to attend the Congress. Itineraries and maps can be saved, shared, and printed via your account. Your email and AORN member ID are your log-in, and it’s FREE! Not a member? You can create a free MyAORNCongress account.
Exhibitor Materials/ExpoCard
If you would like to receive the latest updates, promotions, and special invitations from Congress Exhibitors, please check the appropriate boxes on your registration form authorizing AORN to share your mailing or email addresses with our exhibitors. You may receive mailings from exhibitors in advance of Congress regarding special promotions and invitations, or be contacted post-show to participate in surveys and receive additional product information.
Education on the Exhibit Floor
AORN, in conjunction with the offi cial education provider, Pfiedler Enterprises, will provide an extensive and robust offering of Continuing Nursing Education Credits that are available only on the Exhibit Floor. Attendees will see the many products, services, and job opportunities in the perioperative marketplace and have access to even more Contact Hours that address many topics in a variety of educational formats. With improved online use and immediate return of transcripts and certifi cates, it is easy to obtain and record your participation. AORN Grand Rounds
All 2010 Congress attendees are eligible to enter a drawing to win a FREE registration to the 2011 AORN Congress in Philadelphia. Simply complete the Grand Rounds questionnaire found in your Congress registration bag by visiting each participating exhibitor and answering the corresponding questions.
Prize Stations
Swipe your registration card through all three of AORN’s exhibit fl oor prize stations to enter your name in a daily drawing to win a FREE registration to the 2011 AORN Congress in Philadelphia. A grand prize of a free registration PLUS airfare will be drawn on the closing day of exhibits.
Exclusive Managers and VIP Hours on the Exhibit Floor
Focused attention is what you’ll get during exclusive Managers and VIP Hours on the exhibit fl oor. Attendees with manager titles, attendees visiting the exhibit hall on behalf of their managers, and exhibitors’ special guests are all encouraged to visit the show fl oor during the specially designated hours Tuesday from 8:30–10am. Stick around between 10am and 3pm to learn more about additional products and services, and earn continuing education credits on the floor.
Career Development Opportunities
Visit the AORN CareerCenter to meet with representatives from many hiring facilities, as well as companies offering Career Development Services to help you achieve your goals in your current position, and beyond. Talk with hospital and facility representatives that are looking for various skill sets for placement, recruitment, and career development specialists who can assist you in taking the next step in your career. The AORN CareerCenter booth will feature computer stations where you can search and post job openings. Jobs are posted directly to the AORN site, and pulled from a broad health care job network. A draped interview area will also be available for private discussions, be it career advice or preliminary interview for a new position.
